And the Graft Goes On . . .

The ballroom, the reflecting pool, the arch, the commemorative coin, his name and scowling visage plastered on every government structure they can be—these are obviously monuments from the Narcissist-in-Chief to himself, at the expense of “donors” and taxpayers. And of course, this is being done without the consent of Congress or the People.
The Anti-Weaponization Fund, though, that’s a whole other level of corruption. According to the settlement*, the Trump family will not receive financial compensation from the fund. But there’s no stopping claimants who receive compensation from kicking back some of that money to Trump in the form of a “donation” or a “gratuity” or other such recompense.
Republicans in Congress defend this settlement of Trump’s 10-billion-dollar lawsuit against the IRS, saying the Fund is open to anyone, including Democrats. But decisions on claims are made at the discretion of the Fund’s board. Do you think that if Hunter Biden submitted a claim, it would be approved? Please. How stupid do they think we are? We all know whom this fund is intended to benefit.
* Note: before a judge could even determine whether Trump had standing to sue because both he and the defendant are part of the Executive branch so therefore not adversaries, Trump’s legal team filed a notice to dismiss the suit, and then filed and announced the “settlement.” If the question as to whether a suit could even be filed had not yet been answered, how could there be a settlement?

And then there’s the Donald J. Trump Presidential Library Fund, Inc., which was funded by the settlement monies from Trump’s lawsuits against media companies. The Fund failed to submit an annual report and then was dissolved, with no explanation of the reason or where the money went.
But while it was still operating, a second entity, the Donald J. Trump Presidential Library Foundation, Inc., was created. No information was provided on whether the funds were transferred from the Fund to the Foundation or are held elsewhere. A total of 63 million dollars was paid to the Fund, and no one knows, or will say, where it is.

While I’m on the subject of graft, shall I throw in a conspiracy theory? Why not, just for fun.
Remember when Trump had Nicolás Maduro and his wife abducted from Venezuela (with an excessive amount of military might—because Hegseth—which resulted in the deaths of civilians) and brought to the U.S. on drug-trafficking and other charges? What’s happening with that case? Why aren’t we hearing anything about it? Also, Trump left the rest of Maduro’s corrupt regime in place. Why did he not clean house and install the duly-elected president? Why does Trump talk about making Venezuela the fifty-first state? Could Trump be receiving Maduro’s take of Venezuela’s oil revenue? Just asking.
