No Tyrants, No Kings
March 28, 2026
Four weeks ago, I awoke to the news that the U.S. and Israel had bombed Iran. I read the transcript* (could not stand to watch the entire video) of Trump’s announcement and was furious. The next day, I vented my anger in the rant below. I did not have my website then, had not even enrolled in a hosting plan, so I am publishing it today, No Kings day.

Dangerously Deluded
March 1, 2026
When the current occupant of the Oval Office appeared in a video to announce his attacks on Iran, he looked like the doddering old fool he is. Why was he wearing that USA golf cap? Was that in lieu of the gold crown he lusts after? Does he think that cap makes him look strong and powerful? I think it looks like a souvenir Kash or JD brought back for him from the Olympics.
And when the US Lawbreaker-in-Chief spoke, he made clear what those of us who have been paying attention have known for a long time: he is dangerously deluded. Here’s what he said to the IRGC: “To the members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard [Corps], the armed forces and all of the police, I say tonight that you must lay down your weapons and have complete immunity. Or in the alternative, face certain death. So, lay down your arms. You will be treated fairly with total immunity, or you will face certain death.”
By what authority does the President of the United States offer immunity to the IRGC? And why would he? They have killed tens of thousands (at least) of Iranian citizens, and he’s willing to let them just walk away? How is that “fair” to the survivors and the families of victims of the IRGC’s brutality? Does he really believe that they will lay down their weapons and never ever take them up again? Dangerously deluded.
Then President Peace addressed the Iranian people: “Finally, to the great proud people of Iran, I say tonight that the hour of your freedom is at hand. Stay sheltered. Don’t leave your home. It’s very dangerous outside. Bombs will be dropping everywhere. When we are finished, take over your government. It will be yours to take. This will be probably your only chance for generations.
“For many years, you have asked for America’s help. But you never got it. No president was willing to do what I am willing to do tonight. Now you have a president who is giving you what you want. So let’s see how you respond. America is backing you with overwhelming strength and devastating force. Now is the time to seize control of your destiny, and to unleash the prosperous and glorious future that is close within your reach. This is the moment for action. Do not let it pass.”
In the first paragraph he is talking down to them almost as if they were children. Then he tells them that once the bombing has stopped they will be free to take over the government. Just like that.
“So let’s see how you respond.” Seriously? What kind of response does he envision? In his totally-out-of-touch-with-reality mind, does he really believe the Iranian people will come out of hiding, form a constitutional republic, organize and hold elections (while the IRGC stands by, twiddling their thumbs), and live happily ever after? Just like that? Does he know the term “power vacuum”? Dangerously deluded.
But wait, where’s the Board of Peace? Why aren’t they involved in rebuilding Iran’s government? Oh, that’s right, the chairman of that board is the man who started the war. Yeah. Awk-ward. So the Iranian people are on their own.
Part of President Weapons-of-Mass-Destruction-2.0’s (are you old enough to remember?) justification for these “major combat operations” was that members of our military, many of whom were recently sent to that area in a massive build-up, were in imminent danger. Well, duh. Many of them were in danger because he put them there. But they weren’t actually fired upon until after the attack on Iran. Then of course Iran retaliated and started firing missiles and drones all over the Middle East, with US military bases among the targets. Did the president’s brilliant brain trust not see that coming? Did they really expect to “obliterate” Iran’s weapons, just as they did the first time around (or so they claimed)?
And what does President Sorry-Not-Sorry say about United States service members? “The lives of courageous American heroes may be lost, and we may have casualties. That often happens in war.” In other words: it’s war—death happens. Get over it.
Yes, he called it “war.” And what does President Bone Spurs know of war? He never served. Did Don Junior serve? Did Eric? Would Daddy be willing to send Barron to fight in Iran? How would Melania feel about that? Would she care? Does she care about the people—upward of 150 as I write this, including students—who were killed when a school for girls was bombed? (Was this a DEI target?)
So the Usurper-in-Chief admits that he is waging war, which he does not have the constitutional authority to do. That power is given to Congress. Where are they? Oh yeah, they’re out of session, not due back until Monday. Interesting how this attack was carried out on a weekend (like those unlawful deportation flights to CECOT; remember those?).
When MAGA members of Congress go back to D.C., will they roll over and cede their war powers to their cult leader as they have with all the others they’ve given up? Will this, finally, be a bridge too far even for Milquetoast Mike Johnson (I know, I hear you asking me: “who’s deluded now?”), or will he stick to his motto, “When the going gets tough, we all go home. And stay there. Indefinitely.”?
We the People are long overdue for the impeachment and conviction of Donald J. Trump. Democrats and any amenable Republicans Dems can find must fight tooth and nail for it. And if the so-called leaders in the House and the Senate refuse, then the Dems must hold extraordinary impeachment hearings, invite the press, and make a whole lot of noise to make sure everyone knows about it.
And by the way, who wrote that speech? Did others who were present read the speech and say, “Sure, that sounds perfectly rational and reasonable and sane”? The Megalomaniac-in-Chief’s entire administration is dangerously deluded.
* * * * *
And now, a very special message for our friends on Capitol Hill.
Members of Congress, let me remind you:
you are representatives of the people,
you were elected by the people,
you work for the people.
You swore an oath to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States” and to “bear true faith and allegiance to the same.” The president has violated his oath many times over, and by not fulfilling your constitutional duty to keep him in check and to hold firm to your constitutional authority and powers, you are violating your oath as well. You created the tyrant, and now you must stand up to him en bloc and stop him. Remember: you are accountable to the People. We the People hired you, and we the People can fire you.
So be true statesmen and -women, honor your oath, and uphold the Constitution. Because I have to tell you, I’m finding it extremely difficult to love you right now.
Four Weeks Later
March 28, 2026
And here we are: on the brink of World War III, courtesy of Donald J. Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu. So let’s take stock, shall we?
Regime obliterated? Nope. Though many members of the regime have been killed, the regime is still very much in power. Nor has the IRGC laid down its arms. So the people have not risen up to take over their government. They can’t. Bombs are still dropping everywhere. The people are just trying to stay alive.
Meanwhile, Netanyahu took the opportunity to start pounding Lebanon very soon after the attack on Iran. Now he has started ground incursions into southern Lebanon with the intention of occupying the territory as a “security zone.” (That’s a page right out of Putin’s Ukraine playbook, along with whispering sweet nothings in Donny’s ear to manipulate him.) When Israeli strikes kill Lebanese civilians, Israel claims that it was targeting terrorists—the same excuse it uses in Gaza.
Weapons systems obliterated? Nope. Weakened, yes, but Iran is still wreaking havoc on oil and gas infrastructure and US military bases all over the Middle East. It is still attacking its neighbors with missiles and drones. And only yesterday Israel announced that they had hit a yellowcake processing plant in Iran. So Iran’s weapons and nuclear materials have not been obliterated—again.
Not only that, but Iran has deployed a weapon that the U.S.-Israel brain trust apparently did not consider, or at least not seriously: restricting traffic in the Strait of Hormuz, through which a good portion of the world’s oil and natural gas flows. Is President Only-I-Can-Do-It having a “d’oh” moment: “so that’s why no other president ever did this”?
So now President Give-Me-Another-Fake-Peace-Prize has a problem he can’t solve. He claims to be negotiating with Iran, but they say, “Nuh-uh. We’re not talking to anyone.” He asks our (soon-to-be-former?) NATO allies for help. He has insulted them repeatedly over the years; he started the war without consulting them; he made the mess, and now he wants their help to clean it up. Their response: “Are you kidding me?”
Donald J. Trump is destroying our economy, our government, and our alliances all over the world. He abducted Nicolás Maduro and his wife from Venezuela, but left Maduro’s evil regime in place. Trump has loosened sanctions on oil from Venezuela, Russia, and, yes, Iran itself to try to bring down gas prices. And while this is going on, President Show-Me-Another-Shiny-Object has made it known that he has designs on Cuba.
To top it all off, the most narcissistic president in the history of the United States (No one has ever seen anything like him!) has announced that a large 24 kt gold coin—bearing his likeness in a menacing pose—will be cast to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States of America. Plus, his signature will soon appear on paper currency. This is nuts!
The tyrannical and monarchical ambitions of President Delusions-of-Grandeur are on full display, but the obsequious MAGA cult in Congress as well as subservient conservatives on the Supreme Court lack both the courage and, it seems, the will to stop the madness. They are dangerously deluded—all of them.
